Tunisia Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) organized a Türkiye Promotion Day event at Mennuba University in the capital Tunis.

At the Türkiye Promotion Day event, attended by Türkiye's Ambassador in Tunisia Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Turkish language and culture, handicrafts specific to Türkiye, Turkish archery and traditional costumes were introduced.

Speaking about the event, "Cultural events constitute the essence of all relations. Of course, the first leg of these events is food and the other is music, both of which are very effective mediums in transferring culture. Our Yunus Emre Institute attracted interest in Turkish with the Türkiye Promotion Day event held in Tunisia. I congratulate them and wish them success, while introducing the Turkish taste to the young people through desserts and Turkish music with a beautiful band," Ambassador Demircan said.

Giving information about the event, which included a Turkish music concert attended by Ay Yıldız Music Group and Tunisian artist Ahmet Baglama, Tunisia YEI Coordinator Dr. İhsan Çevik used the following expressions:

"As the Institute, we started a project called Türkiye Promotion Days in Tunisia, and within the scope of this project, we organize events for the promotion of our country for young people at universities. Thanks to these events, we have the opportunity to introduce our culture, art, history and cuisine and establish ties with young people."

YEI, which has been operating in Tunisia since 2017, organizes many cultural events to promote Türkiye and Turkish culture, as well as providing Turkish education.
